My name is Joan Carver, aka "Granny Jo".
I am the owner of Puppy Tails Daycare.
Baby sitting dogs has alway been enjoyable
for me. While my peers babysat children, I
preferred to look after dogs. My first real job
as a dog sitter , lets just say many years ago,
entailed caring for a Red Setter and a Great
Pyrenees while their owners were on
vacation.We learned to communicate, earned
mutual respect and love. I have looked after dogs of many sizes and
breeds and each of them has found their way into my heart.
I have a very special White Shepherd named Oscar, who provided the
incite to open Puppy Tails Daycare. I could never bring myself to leave
him anywhere because I never found a place that I felt he would be
happy and comfortable. Just the thought of putting him a cage
somewhere was enough to cancel vacation plans. I believe that most
dogs need to feel like they're part of the family. They should be able to
curl up feeling happy and content. My goal is to make each dog feel so
happy here that they are delighted to come back.
